Cub Scout Pack 3387
  • Welcome To Pack 3387

Cub Scout Pack 3387 is based in Richfield, Ohio 44286. We are chartered by the Richfield United Church of Christ, and draw boys from Richfield, Bath, Akron and the surrounding areas from many religious affiliations. Matt Deliberato is the Cubmaster of Pack 3387 and Matt Cunningham is the Committee Chair. Notices about upcoming meetings and events are posted below, or click on a link to our detailed activity calendars on the right.

We have our Pack 3387 Spring Campout planned for April 12-13, starting at noon on Saturday the 12th. If the weather is good, everyone is welcome to camp Friday night as well, but you will be on your own for food.

Please note that we moved the location to Quail Hollow State Park (near Akron).
http://parks.ohiodnr.gov/quailhollow#overview

There will be a $10 per family cost to cover food for Saturday night dinner and Sunday breakfast.

While Quail Hollow’s group camp site is a nice camp site location, it is a bit primitive… water and bathrooms are a 1/4 mile away, still within the park… and there is no cabin (only tent camping). So plan to bring water with you.

Our agenda is pretty informal for the spring campout, and we encourage each Den to decide on activities for themselves. There are great hiking and mountain bike trails within the park. There is a nature center to visit, and a pond to fish in. We will plan to have a campfire ceremony around 7PM on Saturday night.

We scheduled Kendall Cliffs climbing event for this coming Thursday 3/13 from 5-7. Please arrive 15 prior to get shoes and turn in waivers.

Kendall Cliffs Gym
60 Kendall Park Rd.
Peninsula, Ohio 44264

You may fill out a waiver prior to the event at https://www.smartwaiver.com/w/51322376a88c4/web/

PLEASE NOTE Minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian, NO EXCEPTIONS. If a parent or legal guardian will not be present at the time of the visit, a waiver must be completed beforehand. Minors without a current waiver will not be permitted to climb.

Blue and Gold Banquet Tonight

February 21, 2014

Our Pack 3387 Blue & Gold Banquet is tonight at Grace Church. This is an event for the entire pack to celebrate accomplishments of the Scouts, and witness the crossover of our Webelos II Scouts into Boy Scout program.

We want to remind you that we will give a presentation on friends of Scouting. This is our opportunity to give back to scouting. Please bring your check book and consider a pledge.

We will be collecting dues for the year. Despite the fact that our district costs have gone up, due to our overwhelming popcorn sales, we will be able to keep our dues at $50 per year.

Lastly, we may need some volunteer help, so a leader may just tap you on the shoulder and ask you to pitch in. If you can, plan on staying to help reorganize the room after the event.

Thank you for all you do and we’ll see you tomorrow.

Matt

Pack Meeting 11/7

November 8, 2013

Excited for our Pack Meeting tomorrow.  Our theme is citizenship and should be a fun meeting.  Meeting is at 7PM at the Richfield UCC.  Please wear Class A uniforms.

Unbelievable job on Popcorn!  Four of the top five are Wolves.  You may bring money for popcorn tomorrow if you wish.  We will have someone collecting.

We are going to start Goodwill Good Turn Day off with a blast… literally! This Saturday 11/2 @ 8:00am, those bottle rockets from the Fall Campout will get their chance to fly at Richfield UCC.

Our Pack’s 2013 Goodwill Good Turn Day is fast approaching. Now is the time to clean out all your closets and basements. We will be collecting items at the Richfield UCC on Saturday, November 2nd from 8am-11am (along with the bottle rocket launch at 8). Remember if your scout brings three bags to donate or volunteers for at least 1 hour (helping to load the trailer and collecting goods) they will earn their Goodwill Good Turn Patch. Please let all your friends and family know about our event.
If you have questions regarding what you can donate to Goodwill, please see the link below:

Hayride Update

October 17, 2013

Good Morning-

I wanted to give you some info on the hayride tomorrow. I do not want to jinx it, but the weather looks pretty good.

I know we were forgoing our pack meeting before the hayride, but I think we should all plan to meet before the hayride. That way we can distribute tickets, collect money, give a brief welcome and talk about the upcoming campout.

Meet at 6:45pm at Richfield UCC. Wear your class B. Then we will head over to Camp Butler for the hayride.

See you tomorrow!

In Scouting,
MattD

Hi All!

I just wanted to remind you to keep selling popcorn.  Our show and sell if coming up at Giant Eagle Fairlawn.  Contact Dani (spasida@yahoo.com) to see if there are any available times.  Your son will receive credit for the sales while he attended.  Each scout has a goal of $300.  This will help us pay for our activites.

Also, last chance for $6 Haunted Hayride Tickets.  (They are $8 at the door).  We have 50 going so far.  It should be a spooktacular time!

Matt D.
