Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 3387! We are based in Richfield, Ohio, a rural community midway between Cleveland and Akron in Northeast Ohio. We are chartered by the Richfield United Church of Christ, and draw children from the surrounding areas and from many religious affiliations. Since 1910, Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes and, through nearly a century of experience, understands that helping youth puts us on a path toward a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
Pack 3387 has Dens for Tiger Scouts (first graders), Wolves (second graders), Bears (third graders), Webelos I (fourth graders) and Webelos II (fifth graders). Our “Webe 2s” typically finish their Arrow of Light requirements by our February Blue and Gold Dinner so that they can “cross over” and join a Boy Scout Troop of their choosing in the second half of their fifth grade year. We meet as a Pack once a month on Friday at 7:00pm at the Richfield United Church of Christ, 4340 West Streetsboro Road. Each Den also has a separate meeting at least once per month. New Scouts and transfers are always welcome to come check us out, along with their parents.
Recently, we’ve had fun:
- Attending several Akron Aeros baseball games, even sleeping overnight at their stadium on the outfield grass!
- Helping the Village of Richfield prepare for Memorial Day celebrations by ridding the West Cemetery of storm debris and placing new US Flags on the graves of Veterans
- Building and racing Pinewood Derby cars!
- Attending many Campouts and Day camps at nearby Camp Butler and Camp Manatoc, where we hiked, made crafts, practiced our swimming, BB gun and archery skills, learned campfire songs, performed skits and met other scouts from the area.
- Running a Hotwheels Derby and providing Pack 3387 information at Richfield’s Community Days.
- Earning many achievements (beads, belt loops, badges and pins) and learning a lot about our world!
- Making new friends!
